Jemez River
The Jemez River is formed at Battleship Rock at the confluence of the East Fork of the Jemez River and the San Antonio River. The Jemez flows south paralleling Hwy 4 through the Village of Jemez Springs and beyond. Because of its lower altitude (7000′ and lower), it offers an excellent opportunity for winter time fishing. Below Canon, it is considered marginal trout water. Please be aware that some of the Jemez flows through private land, so please ask before you fish in those well marked areas.
